About

The project of Khollam came out of a notion. An assignment in class, introduced by my professor, Elizabeth Moran, was entitled Something Out of Nothing -- we were to create a world in the studio. "I wonder if I could create an entire country," I pondered.

Exploring the idea further, I realized that Khollam could allow me to question ideas of macro-politics, and if speaking of politics in macro terms is even possible. With ever phase of the project, I take on new questions, and with them particular visual language cues. Through this I can investigate the multifaceted fields of politics and visual culture, as well as play around with a variety of mediums and outlets.
